Access to Medical Records
You can now view your Detailed Coded Record online. This is the information that is held on your medical record in coded form. This means that you can view your record without the need for it to be printed which is much more secure and confidential as there is no risk of others seeing it or it being lost. Your online record is also up to date.
The GP does have to give their permission for you to have access to your record and may decide that it is not in your best interests to do so. If this is the case, they will discuss their reasons with you.
Maintaining high quality patient data is important to us. We are aware that there might be occasional incidents of patients finding minor discrepancies in their medical record. This may be due to the transfer of records between practices. If you do find any discrepancies in your record, please do let us know so that we can keep all our medical records accurate.
